Bormio (1225mt) is located in Lombardy, Alta Valtellina, very close to the Swiss border, and 3 km from the Stelvio National Park.

BY CAR
From Milan, take the motorway, tangenzianel Nord, exit Cinisello Balsamo, then follow the signs for Lecco and follow the duel carriageway “state route 36” Milano - Lecco - Colico. This leads right onto “state route 38” which goes through Sondrio, Tirano arriving at Bormio (207 km from Milan).
From the north, coming from Switzerland (Zernez in Engadina), Alta Valtellina can be entered through the Drossa Tunnel (see timetable), up to Livigno.
Please note: Gavia - Forcola - Stelvio passes are closed during winter.
Pay attention beacause the navigation systems do not calculate it!!

Tirano 30km The railsroad Milano - Lecco -Tirano covers the territory. From Tirano you can proceed by bus to Bormio.
Find you way with Lombardy public transports
From S. Moritz, Switzerland there is a train service (the beautiful Bernina Express) to Tirano and there you will find the above bus service for Bormio.
